Volksrust Marathon | 2026

The Volksrust Marathon 2025 is a premier road running event in Mpumalanga, starting and finishing at Volksrust High School in Volksrust. This multi‑distance race offers 42.2km (marathon), 32km, 21.1km (half marathon), 10km, and a 4.9km fun run/walk. Marathon, 32km, and half marathon start at 06:00 AM, while the 10km starts at 06:10 AM and the 4.9km fun run/walk follows shortly after. The course is an out‑and‑back route traversing both tarred roads and gravel sections, with about 6 km of gravel on the full marathon. Medals are awarded to all finishers within the cut‑off, and prize money is granted to top finishers in each main distance. The race is a qualified Comrades and Two Oceans event, run under ASA / AMPU / WA rules, with strict guidelines—no headphones, no pets, time limits, and mandatory visible bibs.
