Upper Highway Trail Marathon | 2026

The Upper Highway Trail Marathon (UHTM) is an iconic trail running event in the Upper Highway region of Durban, South Africa, showcasing some of the area’s most breathtaking trails, forests, and conservancies. Celebrated for its community spirit and natural beauty, UHTM connects runners with protected landscapes rarely accessible to the public.

SUPPORT – The event embraces local conservancies and businesses that protect the Upper Highway’s natural heritage.

SUSTAIN – Proceeds from UHTM are donated back to trail owners to help preserve, maintain, and expand these treasured routes.

🗓 Friday, 5 December

• 14:00 – 10km registration opens
• 15:00 – 10km start
• 16:30 – Entertainment begins
• 17:00 – 21km & 42km registration opens
• 18:30 – Last 10km finisher expected

🗓 Saturday, 6 December

• 04:30 – Registration opens
• 05:30 – 42km start
• 06:00 – 21km start
• 15:30 – 21km & 42km cutoff

🔞 Age Requirements

• 42km: 20+ years
• 21km: 16+ years
• 10km: 8+ years
• (ASA age limits apply)

Entries must be paid within 30 days to remain valid.
