South Coast Marathon 2026
The South Coast Marathon 2026 takes place on Sunday, 4 October 2026, offering runners the chance to experience one of KwaZulu-Natal’s most scenic coastal road running events. With distances for every level of runner, the event includes a 42km Marathon, 21km Half Marathon, 10km Run, and 5km Fun Run.
Set along the beautiful KwaZulu-Natal South Coast, the South Coast Marathon is ideal for both competitive athletes chasing a strong race result and social runners looking to enjoy a memorable day on the road. The event is ASA and KZNA sanctioned, giving participants a professionally organised and officially recognised race experience.
Race day starts early, with the 42km Marathon and 21km Half Marathon setting off at 05:30, followed by the 10km Run and 5km Fun Run at 05:40. No seeding or batching requirements apply, making the entry process simple and accessible.
Pre-entries are available until 13 September 2026, with entry fees from R90 for the 5km Fun Run, R230 for the 10km, R340 for the 21km, and R440 for the 42km Marathon. Late entries after 13 September 2026 will be charged at increased rates.
Whether you are taking on the full marathon, building towards a half marathon goal, enjoying a 10km challenge, or joining the 5km Fun Run, the South Coast Marathon 2026 is a great opportunity to run, connect, and enjoy the spirit of road running on the KZN South Coast.
