The Robberg Express | The North Face | 2026

The Robberg Express Trail Run is a scenic 9km, 12km, and 21km trail adventure around one of South Africa’s most iconic coastal landmarks — the Robberg Peninsula in Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape.

Starting from Whale Rock Ridge, the route takes runners through fynbos-lined trails, rugged coastal terrain, sandy stretches, rocky singletrack, rolling dunes, and dramatic sea-edge paths overlooking the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.

Participants will make their way through the trails of Snake Alley before joining sections of the famous Robberg hiking loop, creating a route that is both physically rewarding and visually unforgettable. The course offers a mix of technical trail running, natural beauty, ocean views, and wild Garden Route coastline.

Runners can expect sweeping views toward the Tsitsikamma mountains, sea spray, seabirds, seals, and the raw beauty of one of the region’s most special nature reserves.
