The Cane Challenger Winter Edition returns after a successful April event, bringing riders new routes, fresh singletrack, and an exciting day of mountain biking.

The action takes place on the Ethekwini Mountain Bike Association Trail Network (EMBA), making use of the region’s iconic sugarcane farms, lush forests, and well-maintained singletrack between Cornubia and uMdloti.

Registration

All registration and late entries will take place inside Cycle Lab Cornubia.

Sunday: From 04:30

Parking

Please use the parking area at Cycle Lab Cornubia.

The race start will be directly in front of Thule and Cycle Lab.

Finish Area

The finish line is located behind Cornubia Mall, approximately 400m from the parking area.

After finishing, participants will be directed back through the mall to their vehicles and the chill area.

Start time: 06:45

A Batch starts first. Batches are limited to 50 riders per batch, with additional batches starting 5 minutes apart.

E-Bikes will start in the last batch.

60km MTB

Start time: 07:10

A Batch starts first. Batches are limited to 50 riders per batch, with additional batches starting 5 minutes apart.

E-Bikes will start in the last batch.

40km MTB

Start time: 07:30

A Batch starts first. Batches are limited to 50 riders per batch, with additional batches starting 5 minutes apart.

E-Bikes will start in the last batch.

20km MTB

Start time: 07:45

A Batch starts first. Batches are limited to 50 riders per batch, with additional batches starting 5 minutes apart.

E-Bikes will start in the last batch.

10km Kids Race

Start time: 08:15

Coffee and toasties will be available from the Cycle Lab Coffee Shop / Halfway House.
