The 36ONE MTB Challenge, organised by Dryland Event Management, is one of South Africa’s toughest single-stage mountain bike races. Set in the rugged beauty of the Klein Karoo, this legendary endurance event takes riders on a massive 361km circumnavigation of the region, with approximately 5,600m of climbing and a strict 36.1-hour cut-off.
For riders not ready to take on the full 361km challenge, The Half offers a demanding 180.5km route from Kleinplaas, over the iconic Rooiberg Pass, through Calitzdorp, and back to Oudtshoorn along the second half of the full course.
