The 2026 Riebeek Valley MTB & Trail Run takes place on Saturday, 29 August 2026, starting from Riebeek Kasteel Primary Sportsgrounds in Riebeek Kasteel, Western Cape. 🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

This long-running community MTB and trail running event returns for its 20th edition, offering a full day out in the scenic Riebeek Valley. With mountain biking, trail running and a short fun run available, the event is suitable for cyclists, trail runners, walkers, families, beginners, experienced athletes, and local supporters. 🌿

Participants can choose from 57km, 40km, and 12km MTB routes, plus 21km, 12km, and 5km running options. The MTB routes offer a mix of distance choices for riders of different fitness levels, while the trail runs take participants through vineyards, olive groves, wheat fields, and the longer route up Kasteelberg. 👟

With spring views, fresh air, local hospitality, food, and a family-friendly race-day atmosphere, the Riebeek Valley MTB & Trail Run is a great Western Cape outdoor event just about an hour from Cape Town. 🎖️
