The 2026 Pretoria Boys High School 6 & 24 Hour MTB Race takes place from Saturday, 5 September to Sunday, 6 September 2026 at Pretoria Boys High School in Pretoria, Gauteng. 🚴♂️🌙
This iconic endurance mountain bike race is hosted on the spacious 35-hectare Pretoria Boys High School estate in the Old East of Pretoria. The route offers a unique MTB experience with gravel sections, technical climbs, flowing single track, and free-flowing trail, all set safely within the school property. 🌿
Riders will complete as many loops as possible on a 5km+ lap circuit within either the 6-hour or 24-hour race format. The event is open to recreational riders and licensed athletes, with solo and team entry options available. Only one rider per team is allowed on the track at a time. 🔥
The 24-hour race starts at 10h00 on Saturday, 5 September 2026 and finishes at 10h00 on Sunday, 6 September 2026. The 6-hour race starts at 14h00 on Saturday and finishes at 20h00, giving riders a taste of night riding. Own lighting and helmets are compulsory for all riders. 💡
The race village will offer a lively weekend atmosphere with food, beverages, coffee, free camping, charging stations, goodie bags, and great cash prizes. E-bikes are allowed, but E-bike solo riders or teams are not eligible for prizes.

- 24 Hour School Team – 5km laps, 10h00 start – R450 per scholar
- 6 Hour Solo – 5km laps, 14h00 start – R330
- 6 Hour Team – 5km laps, 14h00 start – R330 per person
- 6 Hour School Team – 5km laps, 14h00 start – R175 per scholar

Camping
Camping is free for participants who want to make a weekend of the event. Campers must bring their own gear, and electricity plug points are limited, but charging stations will be available in the race village.
Prize Notes
Teams may enter with 2 to 6 riders, but only teams of 4 riders or fewer are eligible for prizes. E-bike riders may participate solo or as part of a team, but are not eligible for podium prizes.
