Join one of the oldest and most scenic marathons in the Western Cape – the Balwin Sports Peninsula Marathon. This iconic race runs the length of the stunning Cape Peninsula, starting in Green Point and finishing at the historic Simon's Town Naval Sports Ground. The route is fast and flat, offering runners the opportunity to witness a beautiful sunrise and enjoy around 15km along the breathtaking False Bay coastline. This event is an Abbott Age Group World Rankings qualifier. Additionally, there is a 21.1km race, starting in Bergvliet and finishing at the same picturesque location in Simon's Town. Entry Fees: 21.1km – R230 42km – R360 Temporary License: 21.1km – R75 42km – R85 IMPORTANT INFORMATION: • SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UP TO THE CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES. With two decades of experience in the sector, The Chaeli Campaign is committed to empowering disabled people in all aspects of life, as catalysts for change, building more inclusive communities. In 2012, Chaeli Cottage Preschool opened and as a fully inclusive preschool, is the epitome of The Chaeli Campaign’s ethos and mission. Inclusion cannot be learned; it has to be lived. The Balwin Sport Peninsula Marathon support will go towards the Chaeli Cottage Preschool Scholarship Fund, ensuring that disabled children access their right to education. Every child deserves to feel a sense of belonging; learning from their peers in a place that values, fosters, and celebrates them.
