Overberg Blue Crane Half Marathon | 2026

The Overberg Blue Crane Helderstroom Half Marathon offers runners a classic Western Cape road-running experience in the heart of the Overberg. Hosted under ASA and Boland Athletics rules, this well-established event attracts competitive athletes and social runners alike.

Participants can choose between 21km, 10km, and 5km distances, making it an ideal race for seasoned half-marathoners, club runners, and newcomers to road racing. The scenic route highlights the rolling countryside around Helderstroom, with a professionally managed race environment and full electronic timing.

The 21.1km race starts at 07:00, followed by the 10km at 07:15 and the 5km at 08:00. Category and overall prizes are on offer across multiple age groups, adding strong competitive appeal. All finishers receive medals, and refreshment stations are positioned along the route to ensure a safe and enjoyable run.

Online entries close on 1 March 2026, with manual entries available on the Thursday and Friday before race day, as well as early race-day registration. An optional Ultra Dry fabric race shirt is available for purchase.
