Montagu Trail Festival | 2026

The Montagu Trail Festival is the largest multi day trail-running event in Montagu, Western Cape — a vibrant, multi-day festival of running, adventure and family fun. The festival offers more than just races — it’s a weekend-long celebration of outdoor adventure, community spirit, and the stunning natural beauty of the Klein Karoo. 

Montagu Trails Festival is now an approve ITRA member with the Cruise and Bruise forming part of the ITRA National League, meaning you can accrue ITRA and Mountain points.

All events include entry to the 5k fun run on Friday evening - Price increases on 3 June

Child-minding service: Available at the festival’s “De Bos” base — gives parents peace of mind while they run. 

Rock climbing & hot springs: For non-runners or post-race relaxation, participants can try rock-climbing with a pro instructor or enjoy a discounted visit to Avalon Springs — natural hot springs with water around 43 °C. 

Festival vibe: Expect food stalls, local craft beer, live music, and community-driven fun (scavenger hunt, Beer Sprint, social runs). Perfect for friends, families, and social runners alike.
