Mid-Year Trail Run | Muratie | 2027

The Mid-Year Trail Run at Muratie Wine Estate 2026 takes place on Sunday, 28 June 2026 at the Dirtopia Trail Centre, Muratie Wine Estate, located on Knorhoek Road, off the R44 between Stellenbosch and Klapmuts, Western Cape.

Presented by Sportsmans Warehouse, this popular winter trail event invites runners to hit the scenic Dirtopia trail network at the foot of Simonsberg. Known for its fresh mountain air, hand-built singletrack, vineyard views, and forested paths, the Muratie trails offer a rewarding and memorable trail running experience for both beginners and regular trail runners.

Participants can choose between two distances: a 6km route starting at 08h45 and an 11km route starting at 09h00. Registration opens from 08h00, and pre-entries close at midnight on 26 June 2026. The event has been a winter favourite since 2015, with route variations each year to keep the Dirtopia experience fresh and exciting.

All finishers receive a medal and Coke, while both routes include refreshment stations stocked with Powerade, fruit, and cold water. Participants can also look forward to lucky draws and prizes, including Muratie wine, Sportsmans Warehouse vouchers, SOX products, and even a pair of 361 Degrees trail running shoes.

With coffee and grab-and-go meals available at the Trail Centre, plus the option to enjoy a sit-down meal at Muratie’s Farm Kitchen, this event combines great trail running with the charm and hospitality of one of Stellenbosch’s most iconic wine estates.
