Cycle Pro Longmore Classic | 2026

The Cyclo Pro Fat Tracks Longmore Classic 2026 takes place on Sunday, 6 December 2026, at Three Rivers Trails, Crossways Farm Village in Thornhill, Eastern Cape. Organised by Mountain Events, this long-running MTB race takes riders into the forests and purpose-built singletrack surrounding Crossways.

🌲 Riders can choose from 5km, 15km, 30km and 50km MTB routes, with E-Bike categories available over 30km and 50km. Established in 1996, the Longmore Classic caters for everyone from younger riders and newcomers to experienced mountain bikers looking for a demanding forest challenge.

🌲 Route Highlights

50km: The feature race combines challenging climbing in Longmore Forest with rewarding descents, spectacular views and sections of purpose-built Three Rivers Trails singletrack. There are three water points on the route.

30km: Features more flowing singletrack and fewer of the major climbs found on the 50km route. There are two water points.

15km: Avoids the toughest Longmore Forest climbs and focuses on the scenic trails around Crossways Estate. There is one water point.

5km: A short and accessible ride through Crossways Farm Village, ideal for younger and beginner riders.

🏆 Prizes & Medals

🥇 Prize money is awarded to the top three male and female riders in the 50km MTB race:

• 1st: R1,000
• 2nd: R500
• 3rd: R300

🏆 Prizes are also awarded to the top three male and female riders in the 50km E-Bike, 30km E-Bike, 30km MTB, 15km MTB and 5km MTB categories.

🏅 All finishers receive a medal.

🎁 Every rider is automatically entered into the lucky draw.

⚠️ Important Rider Information

The Longmore Classic is a Cycling South Africa sanctioned event and is run according to CSA rules.

A valid CSA licence is required for the 30km and 50km events. Riders without an annual membership licence can purchase a R70 day licence when entering.

🚫 Gravel bikes are not catered for at this event.
