The Kruger2Canyon Challenge 2026 takes place from 26–28 June 2026 in the spectacular Hoedspruit region of Limpopo, offering runners and hikers an unforgettable two-day trail adventure between the Kruger National Park region and the Blyde River Canyon.
This iconic stage race showcases two very different landscapes over one weekend. Day 1, known as Mountain Day, takes participants into the dramatic Mariepskop and Blyde River Canyon terrain, with steep climbs, big elevation, and panoramic views. Day 2 shifts into the bushveld, offering a completely different trail experience through wildlife-rich Lowveld scenery.
The event offers multiple distance options over two days, including 70km, 44km, 30km, and 20km routes. All routes are fully marked, with aid stations and safety crew support. Hikers are also welcome on selected shorter distances, making the event accessible to a broader range of outdoor adventurers.
Known for its tough climbs, scenic trails, and unique combination of mountain and bushveld running, the Kruger2Canyon Challenge is one of South Africa’s most memorable trail stage races. Whether you are chasing a serious endurance challenge or looking for a bucket-list trail experience in the Lowveld, this event delivers a powerful mix of adventure, scenery, and race-day atmosphere.
