About Fun Run In Aid of Suicide Prevention Month | 2026
The Westville Girls’ High School 4km Mental Health Awareness Fun Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, 12 September 2026, starting at 08h00 from Westville Athletics Club in Westville, KwaZulu-Natal.
Hosted by Westville Girls’ High School, this meaningful community event is held in support of suicide prevention awareness and mental health advocacy. The 4km route is open to runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels, making it a welcoming event for families, learners, staff, alumni, friends, and the wider Westville community.
With a focus on hope, support, and connection, the event encourages participants to come together for an important cause while enjoying a relaxed and uplifting morning of movement. All proceeds will go towards a SADAG and Durban and Coastal Mental Health.
Participants will receive medals, and the first 100 entrants will receive event T-shirts. Additional shirts will also be available for purchase at the event. A guest speaker will address participants on suicide awareness and mental health, adding purpose and impact to the day.
Entries are limited to 1,000 participants, with online entries closing on 8 September 2026 at 23:59. Whether you run, walk, or support from the sidelines, this event is a powerful opportunity to stand together for mental health awareness and remind others that support is always within reach.
