About Cederberg Backyard Ultra | 2026

A raw backyard-style ultra in the Cederberg mountains, hosted at Jamaka Organic Farm. Runners take on a 7.8km loop with ±400 m elevation gain, repeating on a strict 90-minute cycle for 22.5 hours (15 loops). If more than one athlete remains at loop 16, a final footrace decides the winner. A parallel Day Walker format lets supporters share the course (no per-lap time limit). Entry includes access to the race village with shared camping, aid-station support and a wilderness atmosphere. A portion of entries supports Sustainable Cedar’s indigenous cedar restoration.
