Cape Point Triathlon | 2026

The Cape Point Triathlon 2026 takes place on Sunday, 25 October 2026 in Simon’s Town, Cape Town, Western Cape.

Sanctioned by Triathlon South Africa and forming part of the Southern African Triathlon Series, this major triathlon event offers athletes a scenic and challenging race experience on the Cape Peninsula. With ultra, standard, sprint, aquabike, solo, and team relay options available, the event caters for experienced triathletes, developing athletes, relay teams, and endurance competitors.

Participants can choose between the Ultra, Standard, and Sprint triathlon distances. The Ultra features a 2km swim, 80km bike, and 20km run, while the Standard includes a 1.5km swim, 40km bike, and 10km run. The Sprint offers a shorter but still exciting challenge with a 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run.

The event is non-draft-legal, with TT bikes and tribars permitted. Finisher merchandise is included for eligible categories, with hoodies, T-shirts, or caps allocated depending on the distance and entry type. Medals are awarded to solo finishers only.

Entries are limited to 500 participants, with late entries closing on 19 October 2026. Merchandise is only available for entries completed by 27 September 2026.
