The annual “Bring Back the Smile” 5km charity fun run/walk takes place on 16 December 2025 in Welkom. Organized by the Welkom Runners Club, the event supports children in need by raising funds for school uniforms. The inclusive event welcomes all—kids, grandparents, strollers—and includes refreshments and medals for finishers.
