Cyclists have long been drawn to the 'Lap of the Gap' circuit, which starts in the charming village of Laragh and winds its way to the picturesque Sallygap, passing by the famous Lough Tay, also known as the 'Guinness Lake.' The route features a mix of quiet country lanes and dramatic heather landscapes, including a pass by the majestic Glenmacnass Waterfall.
For the marathon and half-marathon, the route extends to the historic monastic village of Glendalough, one of Ireland's most beloved tourist destinations.
