Makhuduthamaga Mayor’s Marathon | 2026

The Makhuduthamaga Mayor’s Marathon 2025 takes place on 15 November 2025 at the Jane Furse Artificial Pitch, Limpopo. Recognised as a qualifier for the Comrades Marathon, this event attracts runners from across South Africa to compete in a world-class road running challenge.

Athletes can choose from four distances: the 42.2km marathon, 21.1km half marathon, 10km road race, and a 5km fun run, making it an inclusive event for elite runners, club athletes, and families alike.

Organised by the Makhuduthamaga Local Municipality in partnership with Makhuduthamaga Athletics Club, the race provides a safe, well-managed, and festive atmosphere that celebrates sport, endurance, and community spirit.

With scenic Limpopo routes, official ASA sanctioning, and the prestige of being a major qualifier event, the Makhuduthamaga Mayor’s Marathon is a must-run race on the South African calendar.
