Heritage Day Trail Run

Join us for an unforgettable Heritage Day Trail Run, proudly celebrating South African culture at the scenic De Grendel Wine Estate in partnership with ASICS. Choose your challenge from 5km, 10km, or the epic 21km routes, all starting and ending at the vibrant race village. As you conquer the trails, enjoy breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and Table Mountain. Post-run, savor award-winning De Grendel wines, explore lively food vendors, and stand a chance to win lucky draw prizes totaling R30,000. Routes: All the routes start and end at the race village next to the restaurant at De Grendel. The 5km is a pleasant runs past the dam and around the fields and is perfect for families and walkers. The longer 10km adds some climbing but makes up with breathtaking views and is for the avid intermediate runner. The epic 18km will make the lungs and legs work but is the best view in the house of the Atlantic Ocean and one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, Table Mountain. Registration: Friday 22 September from 13:00 to 19:00 - ASICS store in Canal Walk Saturday 23 September from 10:00 to 14:00 - ASICS store in Canal Walk Sunday 24 September from 6:30 to 7:30 - Dragonfly Tri gazebo at De Grendel Wine Estate Late Entries: No late entries on race day. Race Start Times: 7:30am - 18km 8:00am - 10km 8:15am - 5km Race briefing will be 10 minutes before each start time. Parking: Parking is on the grass section next to the dam and not by the restaurant. Please follow the instructions of the parking marshals. VIP tickets are allocated VIP parking close to the race village. Timing: Timing cards will be handed out at registration. Timing cards must be handed back at the finish or pay a replacement fee of R200. It is the responsibility of each athlete to tag properly and make sure they hear a beep and see a green light. Late entries will not be timed.
