Dragonfly MTB Lap Ultra

Don't miss this epic MTB Ultra at the stunning Capaia Wines! Depending on your degree of bravery or insanity, try to complete 1 lap or see how many you can in 2 or 3 hours. This 15-kilometer loop has the ideal balance of fantastic dirt and single track through the vineyards, lung-busting climbs with breathtaking views, and exhilarating descents. Registration: - from 6:00am (at Capaia) - Collect your race wristband & timing chip - Vehicle keys can be handed in for safe keeping (while you race) Race start times: 7:00 - Enduro 3h 7:30 - Funduro 2h 8:00 - 1 Lapper Medals and prizes to podium finishers in all distances. Event Rules: Helmets are compulsory. Only pre-entries get boerie rolls. Race start in Le-Mans style where riders run to their bikes. There will be a Tech Zone provided at the race village for any emergency repairs and spares. There will be a water point at the race village. There are no on-course water points. No support crews are allowed on the course. Let other riders know when you are passing left or right. Allow for slower riders to move over or reach an area safe for passing. After every lap you tag the timing pod to count the lap. Please return your timing tags after the event. Categories are subject to the number of entrants per category. If one category has less than three entries, then that category will fall away. No refunds. No exceptions. Timing: The event will be timed by our mobii timing system. Timing wristbands will be handed to each entrant at registration (included in your entry) however these need to be handed back at the finish line. It is the responsibility of each athlete to tag properly and make sure they hear a beep and see a green light. Important: Should your timing wristband not be handed back after the event, there will be a cost of R200. We look forward to seeing you there!
