Bonecrusher to Keurberg Hike | 2026

Take on a steep Garden Route ascent from the Sputnik landmark on the Outeniqua Pass to Keurberg. This guided out-and-back covers 7km with ~740 m of elevation gain and is planned as a 5-hour outing. Expect sustained climbing on mountain paths; sure-footedness and a good base of fitness are recommended. Compulsory kit includes a hydration pack, sun protection, nutrition, layers and basic safety items (space blanket, bandage, whistle); hiking poles and gloves are optional. This is a wilderness hike with no organiser-provided amenities—carry your own water and supplies.
