Cara Cara | MTB & Trail Run | 2026

The 2026 Cara Cara MTB & Trail Run takes place on Saturday, 5 September 2026 at Ruby River Resort in Groblersdal, Limpopo. 🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

This iconic Loskop Valley event offers a full day of mountain biking, trail running and outdoor family fun in beautiful bushveld surroundings. With routes across MTB, trail run, trail walk and a dual challenge, the event is suitable for cyclists, trail runners, walkers, families, beginners, experienced riders, and local supporters. 🌿

Participants can choose from 60km, 40km, 18km and 10km MTB routes, plus 21km, 10km and 4km trail options. The Dual Challenge combines a 10km Trail Run with a 40km MTB route for athletes wanting to take on both disciplines. 👟

With live timing by ROR Events, water points on route, finisher medals, goodie bags, venue entry, parking, food stalls, a beer tent, exhibitors, and spectacular views, Cara Cara MTB & Trail Run is a rewarding spring outdoor event in the Loskop Valley. 🎖️

Important Notes

• Online entries close on Wednesday, 2 September 2026 at 12h00, or once the entry cap is reached
• Late and on-the-day entries include a R30 surcharge
• CSA day licence is R50
• CSA licences are required for the 60km and 40km MTB routes only
• Trail run routes are not ASA sanctioned
• Cut-off for the 40km and 60km MTB is 12h00 at the Toyota water point
• Prize giving takes place at 12h00
• Race boards are included for timing and must be returned after the race
