RIDE Essex is a popular charity sportive through the scenic North Essex countryside on Sunday, 31 August 2025, starting and finishing at ARU Writtle, Chelmsford. Riders can choose from three fully supported route options—Cool (36mi/58km), Classic (68mi/109km), or Champion (100mi/161km)—each featuring route signage, chip timing, aid stations, mechanical and medical support, marshals, event photos, finisher medal, and free parking. Open to all abilities, with over 900 participants. E-bikes allowed. Helmet mandatory; riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
